HOW TO APPLY
Bridges for Schools is currently available to schools in the Diocese of Arlington, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and the Archdiocese of Washington, with plans to expand to other dioceses. Complete our interest form to receive information on how to apply and/or bring Bridges for Schools to your diocese.
STEP 1
Schools contact the foundation to apply.
STEP 2
Schools invited to submit grant applications in the spring and summer. Applications are reviewed and grants are awarded on a rolling basis.
STEP 3
Schools complete their projects over the school year. Final reports are due at the end of the school year.

May I send a letter of inquiry for consideration before submitting a proposal?While we do not have a formal letter of inquiry process, we encourage schools to reach out to connect and learn more about how to apply for Bridges for Schools.

What is the typical grant amount?Bridges for Schools grants are up to $3,000. In some dioceses, Crimsonbridge joins philanthropic partners to increase the grant size for schools.

What should I include in the proposal?We encourage schools to keep their responses simple and concise. Schools provide the following information in the application: School name Total school enrollment and % Hispanic enrollment Grant request amount Summary of the proposed project (2-3 paragraphs) Intended project results Project budget Principal contact information

What do schools request funding for?Each grant is tailored to the self-identified needs of the school and their goals related to enrollment and family engagement. Areas of investment include Spanish-language communications, parent engagement, bilingual staff, culturally responsive imagery and art, and more. What is the timeline of the grant process?Applications are accepted in the spring and summer and grants are awarded on a rolling basis. Schools implement their projects throughout the school year. Final reports are due in the summer.

What are the criteria used to evaluate proposals?We work to collaborate with schools to develop proposals that fit within the scope of Bridges for Schools. To be approved, proposals must include a simple budget.

Can my school participate in Bridges for Schools for more than one year?90% of school partners participate in the program for more than one year. Schools complete a brief final report at the end of each grant period. Once that final report is received, we invite schools to submit a new proposal. Schools that partner with us for five or more years are eligible for the Award of Distinction.

My son/daughter needs a scholarship to go to Catholic schools. Does this grant support individuals?The Bridges for Schools program partners directly with schools. The Crimsonbridge Foundation created the Hispanic Education Imperative Fund to provide tuition assistance as one piece of a holistic approach to serving students and families. Inquiries about the Hispanic Education Imperative Fund can be directed to the Latino Student Fund.
